Affiliate Disclosure
BetterJoyForCemu.com is an independent, unofficial resource site about BetterJoy, the open-source Nintendo Switch controller tool by Davidobot. We are not affiliated with Davidobot, Nintendo, or any emulator project. This page explains how this site earns money, in plain language.
Some links are affiliate links
Some outbound links on this site — mainly in buying guides, comparisons, and hardware recommendations — are affiliate links, usually routed through our own /go/ redirect links (built with Pretty Links). We participate in affiliate programs including the Amazon Associates Program, and programs run through networks such as Impact and Awin. If you click one of these links and buy something, we may earn a commission.
It costs you nothing extra
An affiliate commission is paid by the retailer out of its own margin. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you had gone to the store directly — using our links never adds any cost for you.
How affiliate links are marked
Affiliate links on this site carry the HTML attributes rel="nofollow sponsored", following search-engine guidelines for paid links. Where a page contains affiliate links, this disclosure applies to the whole page.
Download links are NOT affiliate links
Our software download links — for example to the official BetterJoy releases on GitHub, to ViGEmBus, or to Microsoft — are not affiliate links. We earn nothing when you download BetterJoy or its drivers, and we never gate, wrap, or alter downloads for monetization. BetterJoy itself is free and open source under the MIT License.
Editorial independence
Commissions never buy a recommendation. Products are covered because they are relevant to using Switch controllers on a PC, and known downsides are stated alongside the benefits. If a product has no affiliate program, we may still link to it with a plain, non-affiliate link.
